Heuristic Evaluation Tools
Hi class,
There is a tool called usabilitest that does card sorting, heuristic evaluation and other tests.
http://www.usabilitest.com/features/Heuristic_Evaluation
The tool uses criteria based on 20 search usability guidelines by Dr. David Travis of Userfocus.
http://www.userfocus.co.uk/resources/searchchecklist.html
You may also use Morae to conduct heuristic evaluation. Read the userfocus article on using Morae to do HE:
http://www.userfocus.co.uk/articles/morae-he.html
Will talk about this more in class.
Best,
Rong
